COVID-19 (Coronavirus)
The CDC lists the following as symptoms of COVID-19:
· Fever or chills
· Cough
· Shortness of breath or difficulty breathing
· Fatigue
· Muscle or body aches
· Headache
· New loss of taste or smell
· Sore throat
· Congestion or runny nose
· Nausea or vomiting
· Diarrhea
· Other possible symptoms not listed*
Symptoms may appear 2-14 days after exposure to the virus. It is important to remember that people without symptoms can still spread the virus.
Tips for Protecting Yourself and Others
· Wash your hands often (see below for proper handwashing techniques).
· Avoid close contact with people who are sick.
· Put 6 feet distance between yourself and people who do not live in your household.
· Wear a mask or face covering when around people who are outside your household.
· Always covering your coughs and sneezes by using the inside of your elbow or a tissue.
· Clean and disinfect frequently touched surfaces.
· Monitor your health.

Handwashing
Handwashing is the best way to protect yourself and your family from getting sick.
- Wash your hands often
- Wash your hand with soap and water for at least 20 seconds or sing happy birthday twice
- Only use hand sanitizer when you do not have access to a sink or when your hands are not visibly soiled and wash your hands with soap and water as soon as possible
- Make sure hand sanitizer is at least 60% alcohol
- Avoid touching your eyes, nose, and mouth with unwashed hands
- When to wash your hands:
- After blowing your nose, coughing, or sneezing
- Before eating
- After using the restroom
- After leaving a public place
- Before and after touching your face
- After handling your face covering
- After changing a diaper
- After caring for someone who is sick
- After touching animals or pets
- After touching garbage
